RE Easter Day
On Monday, Tockwith Primary took part in an RE Easter Day. Teachers ran a station in their classroom, each linking to Easter. The children were grouped into their houses and spent time in each classroom so that by the end of the day, all of the children had completed all of the tasks. Children in Reception spent the day with their Y6 buddies, who helped them complete all of the activities.
The stations were as follows:
Reception Picasso carried out a music lesson, playing and singing Easter songs
Reception Einstein made some Easter nests which reflected new life
Year 1 put pictures of the Easter story into the correct order and discussed the pictures
Year 2 created a cross and discussed why the symbol is important
Year 3 carried out some Easter coding games
Year 4 created an Easter watercolour card with the cross created through the use of masking tape
Year 5 used chalk outside on the playground to tell the Easter story
Year 6 made Easter bookmarks
It was lovely to see everyone so engaged and working together across year groups too. Thank you to all of the staff that were involved in the day, but especially Miss Cunningham for organising the event.
