We were delighted to invite parents, carers and grandparents to our Easter services yesterday.  Children in Key Stage 1 put on a terrific performance with 4 different songs and 2 poems read by year 1 and year 2.  Children in reception wore bunny ears that they had made in class and they all sang beautifully.  Children in Key Stage 2 re told the Easter story through the eyes of significant characters present including the donkey, Pontius Pilate, Peter and the Roman soldiers.  The children sang Easter songs beautifully with certain children showing great courage and confidence whilst singing solos – very well done to Noah, Fran, Juno and Millie.  Thank you also to the teachers and support staff to the time that they have put into the practices.

We then invited parents, carers and grandparents back to Tockwith Primary to enjoy an Easter lunch of roast turkey or vegetable cobbler followed by an Easter bun.  We had over 100 adults attending and over 170 children having a hot meal so the catering team fed over 270 people – wow!  Thank you to Mrs Hobson and her staff as well as the Tockwith staff for helping to seat and serve all of the adults and children.  Many thanks to the parents for supporting the school and children yesterday and we hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did!
