Tockwith Primary PTFA

The PTFA have hosted some amazing events over the course of the year, and we’re still only half way through the year!!  The events started with the first in house disco ever!!  The school hall was turned into a dance floor through some epic lighting and cool decor. The school council created music playlists with songs chosen by the children.  The children had an absolute blast – making the most of some awesome music and lots of space for dancing.

The Christmas fair had an incredible turnout of parents, carers and of course children – there were game stalls, a cafe, food stalls, a raffle and of course Santa in his grotto!   Another disco was held in the Spring term – again run by the children.  Another successful night with over £800 raised from that disco alone!

The PTFA have supported school and provided some amazing items for the children.  The latest was a wonderful performance by M&M productions.  They came into school and performed ‘The Secret Garden’ to all of our children.  The PTFA also funded a mural to be painted on the hall wall.  A local artist painted the mural and it captures the essence of Tockwith Academy perfectly.  The PTFA are also partially funding a camping experience in May for children in Y3 and Y5  and have funded a poet coming to school for the day to captivate and motivate our children to be creative in their English lessons!

We still have many events to come, including an Easter Egg Hunt and the PTFA Summer Fair.
