Y6 Trip to London!

What an amazing day!! We are so pleased that we are able to give the children this experience. The children and staff were up bright and early and we set off from school at 6.45am. After trains and tubes, we arrived at the Houses of Parliament, where we were given a tour of the   Houses of Parliament, in particular the Houses of Lords. What an incredible building.

After all that history, we visited the Horse Guards parade and glimpsed 10 Downing Street. We went through Trafalgar Square to the highlight of the visit… all you can eat pizza hut in Leicester Square!!

After eating their own body weight, we made our way to Buckingham Palace via Piccadilly Circus and Chinatown.

We had to have an obligatory game of football in Green Park, although it was too hot for some to participate and then we made our way to Oxford Circus via the glitz and glam of Mayfair and New Bond Street … only the best for our children!!

After a fleeting visit to St Pauls, we made it back to King’s Cross just in time to get our train back up north!

So much in one day:  smiles, laughter, culture, history and 22,000 steps.
