Spring Term
Our children have settled back into school after the Christmas break wonderfully. Children in Reception have been learning about ‘People Who Help Us’ and had a police office come in and talk to the class. They’ve also been discovering the forest school as well as many other amazing thing! Year 1 have been learning about recycling and litter and the impact of plastic in the oceans as well as having fun in PE with gymnastics! Year 2 have worked hard on their writing and have a showcase wall of awesome work! They’ve also been exploring 2D and 3D shapes, drawing items entirely out of a single shape.
Children in Y3 have started their swimming lessons his week and are loving splashing around and learning to swim, whilst Y4 have been learning about water safety. They have also been learning how to talk in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd person context and have been working on their multiplications. Y5 and Y6 have had fun programming micro bits and making robot cars that move themselves. They’ve also been studying Henry Moor in art and have been making sculptures inspired by him.
The whole school are loving the OPAL play scheme – this week we introduced wheels which had the children pulling each other around in suitcases!
