We were delighted to invite parents, carers and family members to Tockwith Church for our first Harvest Festival since Coronavirus.  What an amazing turnout!  Children in our Reception classes put on a fantastic performance of The Enormous Turnip – we had some excellent animals involved!  Year 1 and 2 then became dingle dangle scarecrows and read out some poems about Harvest.  Key Stage 2 taught us all about wheat, rice, barley and oats. They also sung beautifully.  Thank you to Tockwith Church for hosting us and making sure church was nice and warm for us all in the awful weather!  Thank you too to the parents, carers and family members for braving the rain and supporting us.  Mrs McBride also informed us that the 3 collections raised a grand total of £385 and she wanted to pass on her thanks.

This was followed by our Harvest Lunch at Tockwith Primary where we had a staggering 146 adults join us for lunch, a new Tockwith record!  Many thanks to Mrs Hobson and the kitchen staff for producing such an amazing lunch of Roast Turkey or Sweet Potato & Chick Pea curry.
