Test the Teacher!

It was fantastic to have York Mix Radio join us this week to challenge Mr G on their Test the Teacher feature.   Laura, one of the presenters, came into school with Mixie the Monster to hold an assembly.  They involved the children in several challenges, including trying to complete 20 star jumps faster than York Sports in order to win a free swimming session and also managed to record the whole school cheering the York Mix logo.  Laura then moved on to challenging Mr G to complete a cup challenge to earn extra points for his test – Mr G smashed it and earned 3 extra points.  It was then time to Test the Teacher… Mr G was asked questions that included topics on music, tv and films, the solar system, fruit and vegetables, maths and the ancient Greeks! As if we expected anything else, Mr G did fantastically – he answered 12 questions correctly!  With the 3 bonus points he earnt through the cup challenge, this score put him at the top of the leaderboard!!  If he goes through to the live final and wins that, he wins a pool party for school!
