Y1/2 Trip to Harlow Carr

This week children in Y1 and 2 ventured into Harrogate (whilst the Yorkshire Show was on – how brave!) to visit the gorgeous Harlow Carr!  As part of their topic – Down the Garden Path, the children explored the various gardens with Harlow Carr, spent some time in the cool playgrounds and also took time to visit the classroom to learn more about gardens, plants and bugs..   Children in Y2 managed to miss the downpour, whilst Y1 spent some time sheltering under a small hut listening to a story from Miss Cunningham and singing songs with Mrs Hackforth.  Many thanks to the volunteers who enabled this visit to go ahead, and to all of the staff that helped plan the trip.  The children had a great time and are looking to when they are able to go again.
