Tockwith Trekkers!

Forest Schools has really transformed this half term and the reception and Year 1 children are loving using it. It’s a great space for the children to be able to explore the natural world whatever the weather. We are continuing to develop it and will soon be making way for a den area and a mud kitchen. Many thanks to all the offers of kind donations to help kit it out. 

This term some of the things they have explored micro-habitats and used bug viewers to have a closer look at insects and their features. We have also learnt about what a plant needs to grow and the different parts of a plant. The children have been so enthusiastic and have learnt being in our forest school area. We even have learnt a new song to sing going and coming back from forest school which the school and staff love hearing each week! 

We can’t wait to explore in the summer term!
