Our Year 3 students traded their classrooms for tents this term week for our highly anticipated overnight camp on the school field! We enjoyed our delicious evening BBQ, even watching England play as we ate! Later, the field came alive with the ultimate camp experience: toasting marshmallows on the campfire, sipping warm hot chocolate, and singing some classic campfire songs. It was a wonderful evening filled with giggles and great teamwork.
The fun didn’t stop there! The next day was packed with action, starting with a series of team-building activities that put the children’s skills to the test. A massive highlight was the outdoor bushcraft session, where the children rolled up their sleeves to make their own bread dough and cook it directly over the open fire. To wrap up an incredible experience, they took aim and channelled their inner Robin Hood during an archery session.
We are incredibly proud of how our Year 3s embraced every challenge, looked out for one another, and showed fantastic independence throughout their first school sleepover. A brilliant, unforgettable time was had by all!
