Y1 Reading In School

Following Friday’s Reading in School session, it was brilliant to see so many parents / carers of children in year 1 come into school to see their child in class having a phonics session.  Miss Kilvington and Miss Bernard led sessions explaining how phonics is taught in school and tips on how you can support your child in phonics and reading. This was followed by light refreshments in the hall where parents/carers could look through some age appropriate books, talk to the class teachers and also communicate with Liz Wainwright, our link governer for EYFS, English & the Humanities.
