Tockwith goes to the World Cup…

We had the opportunity to purchase 30 tickets to the England versus Costa Rica friendly World Cup warm up football match.  Children in Year 5 and 6 were randomly chosen to attend (after showing their interest) and we set off from Tockwith on a sunny early evening.  After a long journey to Leeds Elland Road stadium – traffic was terrible! – and a dash to our seats, we watched England play a fantastic game of football.

The children who attended were very polite and well behaved and were a credit to Tockwith Primary – the teachers were proud to take them and the evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
