Sir Alex Sherbrooke visits Tockwith!

On Friday 4th April Sir Alec Sherbrooke, MP for Wetherby and Easingwold came into school to talk to our Young Leaders in Year 2 and Year 5. He spent time talking about why he became and MP and the reasons he did so. The children then took turns answering questions about his role, they really ‘grilled’ him with their questions and even got a certificate to prove it! They took the opportunity to share their frustrations of potholes, narrow pavements and overgrown bushes, which Sir Alec has assured he will pass onto the local councillor. Well done children, you really showed off your leadership skills.
