A Day in the Life….

Children in year 5 had the fantastic opportunity of visiting Wetherby High School to spend …  A Day in the Life of a Secondary School Student!  Children were collected by two Wetherby High School minibuses and taken to the high school.  The first lesson of the day was Science where the children used microscopes to look at cells.  Art followed this and the children found pictures of celebrities and turned them into pop art.  They learnt about the Amazon rainforest in Geography, studied impossible shapes in Maths and finished the day with Food Tech – some delicious pizza rolls were made by all!   The children had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the day.  Many thanks to Wetherby High for giving the children this experience.

The day was lots of fun,  the food was ace – chicken nuggets and cookies.   We can’t wait to start at secondary school now!   Molly, Theo and Thomas in Y5
