Y5/6 Trip to Flamingo Land

On Monday 28^th March, years 5 and 6 visited Flamingo Land Zoo to enrich their learning and understanding of The Rainforest.  They took part in workshops run by zoo staff, engaged in talks about cheetahs and sea lions and had a tour of the zoo.   In the workshop, the children learnt about stick bugs, cockroaches and the tenrec hedgehog. The children had an amazing time and learnt lots of fascinating facts about animals and their behaviours and habitats.  Unfortunately the rain came at the end of the day but that didn’t dampen their enjoyment of the day!  Many thanks to the staff and governors that accompanied the children.

Harry in year 5 said ‘It was a brilliant experience and I would definitely want to go again!’.
