Y5/6 Bikeability

Throughout September and October, our year 5 and 6 children took park in a bikeability course. This course aimed to ensure all children are comfortable, confident and safe in the saddle.   The students were working on their Level 2 certificate which includes preparing for and completing an on-road journey. They were taught to recognise hazards, turn in and out of side roads and understand the Highway Code. The children all behaved well and enjoyed their time outside on their bikes.  This was followed up with work in the classroom, embedding the information they learnt whilst out on their bikes.
