Motor Neurone Disease – 7 in 7 Challenge

Year 3’s inspirational person for this half term is the former Rugby League International, Kevin Sinfield. In 2019, his former team mate Rob Burrow was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Since then, Kevin has taken on 2 incredible challenges running 7 marathons in 7 days (2020) and running 101 miles in 24 hours (2021). Next week, Sinfield is running 7 ultra marathons (40 miles) in 7 days. 7 being Rob Burrow’s shirt number throughout his career.

Year 3 would like to support Kevin Sinfield and raise money for MND with the help of every student.  Every class took part in a daily run/jog/walk whereby as a school we tried to run 77 miles a day. We also invited parents to join in!

The children did an amazing job, as did those parents /carers who were brave enough to run in this winter weather!!  We raised an incredible £220 so thank you to everyone who donated and supported this cause with us.
