High Standard of Achievement in Writing in KS2

This week we have received a letter from the Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP congratulating us on our very high standard of achievement in the Writing Key Stage 2 assessments last year.
Mr Gibb pointed out that 100% of our children achieved expected standard or higher at the end of Key Stage 2 placing us in the top 1% of the country. We were delighted with these results but we would like to add that our progress data has been impressive as well (measured from Year 2 to Year 6). Below is our progress scores for the last 3 years.
2017 – Tockwith 1.91 Local Authority average -0.12
2018 – Tockwith 1.49 Local Authority average 0.05
2019 – Tockwith 2.02 Local Authority average -0.13
