D Day Anniversary Lunch

Today is the 80th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings. Also known as D-Day, the historic operation saw the Allied Forces mount a large-scale invasion of Nazi-occupied France that ultimately tipped the course of the Second World War in the Allies’ favour.

Today we held a special lunch of the British favourite fish and chips, with the staff dressed up in ‘old fashioned’ aprons and hair scarves and the children listened to music from that era. Many thanks for Mrs Hobson and her team for putting on such an excellent lunch.
