Wetherby High School – A Day in the Life
Children in year 5 were invited to spend a day at Wetherby High School to experience a day in the life of a secondary school pupil. The children were picked up from Tockwith Primary by the Wetherby High school mini buses and delivered to the secondary school safely. Their day included 5 lessons and children were expected to bring some of their own stationery with them, to give them the responsibility of looking after their own equipment for the day.
The Year 5 students had a great time learning about witches in History, doing poetry in English, solving math’s problems, playing rounders and they rounded off the day making badges and engraving pencils in DT. It was a great day all round.
A comment from one of the Wetherby High staff is:
A Y5 child commented:
I had a great time and would like to go back to Wetherby tomorrow!
