Y5/6 Trip to York Minster

Children in Y5 and 6 left Tockwith Primary on a bright but cold day to travel to York city centre.   The children were split into two groups – one toured the city walls whilst the other investigated York Minster. They had a tour of York Minster and then visited the Undercroft Museum themselves and learnt about the history and archaeology of the York Minster. Whilst walking the city walls, the children explored York’s history, including the Romans, Anglo Saxons and the Vikings.
