Reception Stay & Play

This week we invited our Reception parents/carers into school for a stay and play session with their children – one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  The two sessions were great opportunities for parents/carers to see the fantastic progress their children have made, explore the Reception learning areas and understand the importance of play in their child’s development.   Mrs Grainger shared the Reception timetable so parents/carers could see what their children are up to on a daily basis at school and see how they are supported by staff at Tockwith Primary.  The Boromi library was also introduced at the sessions.  This is a play library where children are able to take bags of themed toys home to play with. The sessions were very well attended and it was lovely to see so many parents/carers in school with their children.  Thank you for supporting us with this.
