Pantomime – Cinderella

Today we took all of our children into Leeds to visit the Carriageworks Theatre to watch the pantomime Cinderella.

With the help of loyal friend Buttons and a sprinkling of Fairy Godmother magic, Cinderella escapes her rags and wicked step sisters to attend the Royal Ball. Her dreams come true as she dances the night away with the charming Prince, capturing his heart. But when the clock strikes midnight the magic fades and Cinderella must leave the ball before anyone finds out, leaving the Prince on a mission to find the mysterious princess. Join us this Christmas to find out if the glass slipper fits and if Cinderella will make it to the ball and back again before midnight.

The children were brilliant and behaved in a way that truly reflects Tockwith. Thank you to parents and carers for allowing their children to be kept out later than usual, we hope they aren’t too tired tonight!

We’ve had feedback on our children from another family who visited the pantomime at the same time as us yesterday:

“I just wanted to provide some feedback on your amazing students.
We attended the pantomime with our daughter and if I’m honest, when I saw the theatre filling with school children I was a little apprehensive as thought they would be disruptive and impact our little girls first panto.
How wrong was I! Your students were amazing! So well behaved, great fun and made the entire experience more enjoyable and fun. Our little girl saw there were other children joining in and started to interact with the performers too.
So thank you from a naughty mummy who shouldn’t have judged, my husband and our very own Cinderella.
Merry Christmas to all your students and staff.
Kind regards”
