New Lunch Process!

Today saw the launch of our new school lunch system, Appetite.  This system allows parents and children to sit together at home and order their food choices for the day, week or whole term in advance.  Once in school, teachers can check all orders have been placed and round up anyone who hasn’t placed an order yet.  The lunchtime routine is such that children enter the hall and find their name on a new screen next to the lunch trolleys.  Once their name is selected on screen, their pre ordered food option is displayed to the child to remind them what they will be eating for lunch.  The cooks give the children their food and then presses a button to show that the child has received their food – this will trigger a financial charge to be made (not applicable to children in Reception, year 1 or 2, or children in receipt of free school meals).

If you have not yet pre ordered your chlid’s food – please check your email inbox as you should have received an email from Appetite.  This will provide details on how to log on and pre order your child’s food.  We are hoping to have all children set up with pre orders by the end of the week so please do log in and order!  Thank you
