Christmas Lunch & Christingle
This week we had our annual Christmas lunch and what a feast it was! Mrs Hobson and her team made a delicious meal of roast turkey with all the trimmings or a vegetable tart followed by a festive biscuit. Staff and children tucked in and enjoyed the lunch whilst wearing their festive outfits! We raised over £70 for the Christmas Jumper charity so thank you to everyone who supported us with that.
We also had Mrs McBride and Mrs Jackson in school creating Christingle’s with the children. A Christingle begins with an orange, which is used to represent the whole world. A red ribbon is placed around the outside of the orange. This is a symbol of Jesus’ love and how he gave his life to save humankind. Four sticks are stuck into the orange to represent the four seasons: winter, spring, summer and autumn. Thank you Mrs McBride & Mrs Jackson for your time and effort with the children creating these.
