Y5/6 Visit Leeds Grand Mosque

Year 5 and 6 had a fascinating morning visiting Leeds Grand Mosque at the start of this term. They learned about Islam, including the Five Daily Prayers, the core beliefs of the faith, and how Muslims practise their religion in their everyday lives. The children asked thoughtful and respectful questions throughout the visit and were interested to discover many similarities between Islam, Christianity and Judaism. It was a valuable opportunity to deepen our understanding of different faiths and learn more about the beliefs and traditions of others. A big thank you to everyone at Leeds Grand Mosque for making us feel so welcome and sharing their knowledge with us.
