Y3/4 Prodction – Go For Gold

Amid all of the disruption and confusion at the start of March when the coronavirus first appeared, our Year 3 and 4 children put on an amazing performance of ‘Go For Gold’ about the ancient Greeks. The children had not had long to practice and were not in the costumes, but the performances certainly were G O L D!  Some outstanding characters and the jokes were hilarious, especially the ancient geek (Mr White!).  With reduced numbers, some children playing numerous parts (which they did so without complaint) and and Mr G even putting in a guest appearance, the staff and students of Tockwith thoroughly enjoyed this superb performance.  A big thanks to Miss Harrison and Mr Goodacre for their time and effort in helping the children practice for this event.  Thanks to Mrs Maclennan for the props used throughout and to Alex in Y3 for his excellent work controlling the words on screen. Thanks also to all of the parents and carers for supporting us and their children and helping them with their lines – it was well worth the effort.
