We’ve had a great first month back at school after the Christmas holidays. KS1 children have been learning outside, sentence writing, ordering teen numbers and learning all about Robert Burns and practicing Scottish country dancing!  They have also been doing some amazing observational drawings of fish!  Fabulous artwork! Reception have been experimenting with different moves to match the tempo and pitch of ‘Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ as well as learning about different careers and what is involved in them.

Children in Y5 and 6 have been looking at composition, size and shading with their wonderful charcoal drawings of teapots!  They have also been working hard in their PE lessons, with fitness and looking at the different exercises and how they affect our bodies. Y6 led a brilliant Collective Worship all about Martin Luther King.  Some very confident children involved in the assembly.     Our swimming sessions for year 3 and 4 are now in full swing and the children are enjoying learning the various strokes and how to do them properly.
