World Book Day 2019

On Tuesday we celebrated World Book Day as part of our Tockwith Children’s Partnership with Tick Tocks and Under 5’s.  The children from Reception, Tick Tocks and the Under 5’s toddler group came into school wearing all of their amazing outfits from their favourite books. The session was centered around the book ‘A Squash and a Squeeze’ by Julia Donaldson. This inspired the activities of the day which were: making animal masks, creating paper plate sheep and reading the story A Squash and a Squeze. The morning was finished off with a delicious snack of scotch pancakes for Shrove Tuesday! A big thanks to those who organised the event and to everyone for coming along to this session and supporting the TCP.
